21-Day Daniel Fast | January 5th - January 25th
Dear SSBC Church Family,
Greetings in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As we prepare to enter a new year, aligning our hearts, minds, and spirits with God’s will and direction for our lives is important. Therefore, I am excited to announce that as a church family, we will embark on a 21-day Daniel Fast from Sunday, January 5, 2025, through Saturday, January 25, 2025. This sacred time of fasting and praying will be rooted in our foundational Scripture, 2 Chronicles 7:14,
The Daniel Fast is a time of physical discipline and a spiritual journey of deepened prayer, reflection, and transformation. During this fast, we will seek God for personal renewal, corporate unity, and divine direction for the church and our individual lives. While we are fasting together as a congregation, I encourage you to make this time meaningful for your personal spiritual growth as well.
Guidelines for the Daniel Fast
The Daniel Fast is inspired by the biblical accounts of Daniel’s commitment to honor God through His dietary choices. Below is an outline of what you can and cannot eat during this fast.

How to Prepare
As we approach the start of the fast, I encourage you to prepare your heart and mind. Begin reducing your intake of processed foods, caffeine, and sugar now. Dedicate time daily for prayer, Scripture reading, and journaling. Let this be a time of drawing closer to God and clearly hearing His voice.
I believe this fast will be a time of great breakthrough, renewal, and blessings for all who participate. Let us humble ourselves, seek God’s face, and trust Him to heal, restore, and guide us. Together, let’s step into 2025 with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment to His Kingdom's work.
Thank you for your commitment and dedication to this sacred time of fasting and prayer. I look forward to hearing the testimonies of how God moves in your life and our church. May God bless and strengthen you during this journey.
